Welcome to the home of Poppy and Whipper on the web!

Poppy and Whipper are American Eskimo dogs. This website features our Eskies in agility, a fun and exciting sport for canines and their human partners. In addition to agility, our Eskies enjoy other activities such as therapy dog visits, hiking, and relaxing around the house.

American Eskimo Dogs (Eskies) have three size divisions in the American Kennel Club and are part of the "Non-Sporting" group. The sizes are as follows; Toy (9"-12"), Miniature (over 12"-15"), and Standard (over 15"-19"). Here is an excerpt from the breed standard: "The American Eskimo Dog, a loving companion dog, presents a picture of strength and agility, alertness and beauty." In the United Kennel Club only the Standard and Miniature sizes are recognized. Eskies are placed in the "Northern Breeds" group.
